Two ways to remodel

Same team, same workmanship. You decide who buys the finishes.

Classic

We do the remodel. You buy the finish materials.

Includes our professional labor and the rough materials— the building materials behind your walls and under your tile. You pick and buy what you'll see every day: tile, vanity, toilet, faucet and shower fixtures, glass door.

Complete

We also supply the finish materials.

Everything in Classic, plus finish materials we supply within the selections and allowances agreed in your proposal, including a standard glass door. Less shopping, fewer deliveries, nothing to coordinate.

What you buy, and what's extra

With Classic, you buy

  • Tile
  • Vanity
  • Toilet
  • Faucet and shower fixtures
  • Glass door

We'll confirm the exact list for your bathroom at the estimate. Everything needs to be delivered and checked by our team before we confirm your start date, so nothing is missing once your bathroom is torn out.

Not in the package price

Unless it's written into your proposal:

  • Moving the toilet, tub, shower or drains to a new spot, or moving walls
  • Repairs to hidden damage found after demolition — for example rotted subfloor or water damage
  • Upgrades such as a shower bench, heated floor, tile to the ceiling on all walls, mosaic patterns or a ceiling rain shower

Questions homeowners ask us

What happens at the free estimate?

First we talk on the phone about your bathroom and what you'd like to change. Then we visit, measure the room, look at its condition, and go over the package options and any upgrades with you. After that you receive a written proposal with the scope and price. The estimate is free, and requesting one doesn't commit you to anything.

What are “rough materials” and “finish materials”?

Rough materials are the building materials behind your walls and under your tile — the parts you don't see once the bathroom is done. Finish materials are the things you see and choose: tile, vanity, toilet, faucet and shower fixtures, and the glass door. Classic includes rough materials; with Complete we also supply finish materials within the package selections and allowances.

With Classic, what do I need to buy — and when?

You choose and buy the finish materials, typically tile, vanity, toilet, faucet and shower fixtures, and the glass door. We'll go over the exact list for your bathroom at the estimate. Everything needs to be delivered and checked by our team before we confirm your start date, so nothing is missing once your bathroom is torn out.

What does Complete cover?

Complete includes everything in Classic, plus finish materials we supply within the selections and allowances agreed in your proposal, and a standard glass door. It saves you the shopping, deliveries and coordination. The workmanship is the same in both packages. If you want selections beyond the allowances, we price the difference before ordering.

Why might my price be different from the package price?

Package prices cover a defined scope for a standard room. Room size, moving plumbing or walls, conditions found behind the walls or under the floor, and upgrades can change the scope. Your proposal shows the scope and price before any work begins.

What if we find damage behind the walls?

Sometimes demolition uncovers problems like water damage or a rotted subfloor. Repairs like these aren't part of the package price. We'll show you what we found and explain the repair and its cost before doing that extra work.

Can I make changes once work has started?

Yes. Tell us what you'd like to change, and we'll explain how it affects the price and schedule so you can decide before we do it.

How soon can you start, and how long does it take?

It depends on the scope and our schedule, so we'll discuss timing at your estimate. Your start date is confirmed once the proposal is agreed and, for Classic projects, your finish materials have been delivered and checked.

What warranty do you offer?

Our work comes with a two-year workmanship warranty. Products and fixtures carry their own manufacturer warranties where provided.

Which areas do you serve?

Chicago and the surrounding suburbs. Include your ZIP code when you request an estimate and we'll confirm.
